In a week I will be completely alone
and surrounded by hundreds of strangers, speaking in languages I can hardly identify,
riding and sleeping in towns I have never heard of, among people who live lives I will never touch.
If I ever actually get there that is.
Geez.
I stillstillstillstillstill have done NOTHING to start getting ready.
Sigh.
Lists and motivation are in order.
I'm excited to get the stench of Murfreesboro out of my pores. I want to smell of wine and French cigarettes while sweating on a bridge over a river I have never heard of and waiting on a bus to take me to my next adventure.

Walking on a Dream
nine days until i leave for the other side of the atlantic.
my mother and sister left for the other side of the gulf today.
i wish we were going to the same side of the same ocean.
there is so much to do. im stuck in this bubble where im just way too excited about going that i cant get anything done. like a little kid who gets too excited about their own birthday party they just fall asleep. i make lots of lists. probably thirty by now (kid you not), and all ive done is clean my kitchen four times. i feel so unprepared, yet there is really not much else i can think to do.
sigh.a sigh of restlessness.
